As part of our program, a technical site visit related to air transport operations was carried out at Merzifon Airport on 08 May 2025 with the participation of our faculty members—Lecturer Dursun Arslaner, Lecturer Ayşegül İnce, Lecturer Dr. V. Ahmet Çevik, Lecturer Ahmet Boyacı—and our first- and second-year Logistics students.
During the visit, airport officials provided students with detailed information on the procedures and operational processes of air transport. Our students had the opportunity to observe on-site the operational workflow of both passenger and cargo transportation for aircraft landing at and departing from the airport.
Additionally, the students visited the “Rescue and Firefighting” unit operating within the airport and learned from field experts about the measures taken in response to potential emergencies that may occur in the airport environment.
We express our gratitude to the airport staff for their close attention to our students throughout the technical visit and for assisting us in examining all relevant units, operations, and procedures on-site.
